Fire Association of Philadelphia.  Fire Mark.  Cast Iron.  Oval.  Extremely Convex.  10 ¾ x 7 3/8.  Hollow Back.  Drainage Knob in Back of Mark.  Issued around 1870.  Last of the Cast Iron Marks of the Insurance Company.  Repainted in Original Colors in the past.  Determined to be authentic by the Auction Verification Committee. Note that the reverse shows the original red lead paint that inhibits rusting. Mark dates 1869 - 1874.
